Faith Without Action is DeadWednesday, April 15, 2015
In my friend Bhenie's thread, one of her friends (Barbara Pagaddu) commented on a posted photo. I loved how she stated the fact that:
"Once forgiven, we need to sin less and less until we sin no more for faith without action is dead! This grace does not carry with it the license for us to go on sinning according to the Bible for even if we accept this grace, if we deliberately sin, then we truly do not belong to Christ..."
It is true. Why sin and sin if you're already with Jesus. If you've declared that you are His and that you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, justification, sanctification and redemption come right after.
We have to climb the ladder to righteousness. Quoting Philippians 2:12 "Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear."
and 1 Corinthians 1:30 "But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption."
He made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin.
Voila! This path is the clearest path ever. No other way but through Christ alone!
Truly, faith without action is dead...
